I'm A Slacker

Well I see that it's been 2 months since I last posted, but I just feel like I don't have anything to tell about. Ryan and I are still doing the same old things we've always been doing. Work and spending nights trying to think of things to do. I feel like anything fun these days costs money and that's something that we just don't have a lot of. If anyone has any ideas of fun things to do that cost little or no money please help us out. I told Ryan I really just feel like a robot. I wake up, go to work, come home, cook dinner, sit around and go to bed. It's the same thing everyday. I need some sort of change so I'm open for suggestions. Ryan has been sick these last few days so we've spent a lot of time at home. I hope he gets better soon! Maybe one of these days I'll have something exciting to talk about. Until then, I hope you are all doing well. It sounds like you are from your blogs and I love reading them everyday, and especially looking at pictures. I am excited for the holidays though. That's one good thing to look forward to!

I know the feeling. Its hard to be original all the time. Go pick out a small pumpkin for a couple dollars and have a pumpkin carving night.

You can check out audio books online for free if you have a library card! I also like getting movies from the library. Yay for Anne of Green Gables! :)

I second the library option. Check to see if you can reserve stuff online, because then you can hold newer movies that are never there when you go try and find one in person.

I'll have to think of some more ideas. Our cheapie ideas are all about the kids so probably not exactly what you guys would have in mind.

I think we all know that feeling! That's probably why I love books so much; they help me escape my real life and enter much more exciting ones. Plus they're cheap - or free if you go to the library.

I've been trying new recipes, too. The Pioneer Woman's website and her cooking website Tasty Kitchen have some great things and a lot of times I don't even need to go to the store.

I don't know if they do this in Utah, but out here there's a publication that gets handed out at schools, and I think you can get it at the grocery store, advertising everything that's going on in our community. A lot of the stuff is free. Saturday we are going to a horse parade which is FANTASTIC leverage to get Megan to clean her room! I'll bet if you googled things to do in your area you'd find a lot of stuff.

Good luck and hope Ryan feels better soon!

Come hang out with us! We usually just end up watching tv the whole night... NOT exciting. We need to start running so we can start getting ready for the half marathon. :) You know you want to... I'll get that schedule emailed over to you sometime. I'm trying to find the link to it.

I know the feeling too! I've decided I need to start developing some new talents or rediscovering some I've forgotten. We should get together and play duets sometime! We can't wait for the holidays either though!! I'm just about ready to break out my Christmas tunes! :)

I think you two should drive to Washington and visit us! We can offer you a private room and daily entertainment provided by Olivia. The Berghout B&B is booked Dec. 3-8 but other than that we're free.
